This is a special project for us because it was our first branding initiative from the ground up. Building the overall brand strategy for Her Waves Hair Co. required a deep understanding of the luxury hair extensions market – including consumer preferences, competitor positioning, content production, & identity. From there, we took inspiration from beach-inspired aesthetics, with the primary focus on making women feel beautiful.

The result – Her Waves Hair Co blossomed into a holistic approach behind how we identification and favorability with customers and potential customers. A brand strategy encompasses several different brand elements like voice, storytelling, brand identity, brand values, and overall vibe.

Brand Strategy

Her Waves Hair Co. stems from a decade of experience, as a client and hair specialist. Starting from nothing, we worked closely with Laura Kester, founder of Her Waves Hair Co. to develop a brand identity that encapsulates the feeling of high-end, luxury hair-extensions to make women feel their utmost best version of themselves. We took the approach of mixing lux style with beach vibes.

We knew hair extensions were a high ticket price item. Keeping that in mind, we took to the drawing boards to identify the demographic of women installing extensions into their hair. We documented the entire process from color matching to hair installation and everything in between. The result? Process makes beauty – a truly remarkable transformations for thousands of women.

SOCIAL ACTIVATION

Developing a strong influencer marketing program was essential in building credibility and social proof for Her Waves Hair Co. This involved identifying key influencers in the luxury beauty space who align with the brand's aesthetic and values, and developing partnerships that leverage their reach and influence.
